jon kate and bushDALLAS, TX –  In what some are calling a “game changer” for the TLC network, former President George W. Bush brought Jon and Kate Gosselin together again Wednesday, following rare talks with the estranged couple who filed for divorce in June.

The reconciliation marks an incredible turnaround  for the former stars of Jon & Kate Plus 8, who had not spoken in months.  The couple  was headed back to their Reading, PA home less than 24 hours after traveling to Bush’s estate in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas for a weekend of fishing, hunting, and down-home Texas barbecue.

“I just told them that everyone’s got problems, even me and Laura,” said Bush.  According to sources, the former president had been calling the White House daily, asking for a diplomatic effort of his own, ever since former President Clinton freed two U.S. journalists in August after meeting with reclusive  North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il.

Bush had an extensive knowledge of the couple’s highs and lows over the years from reading about them in US Weekly, a periodical he reportedly understands to be a “Cliff’s Notes” of the US World News & Report.

After ensuring that the Gosselins returned safely to their home, the former president was asked by reporters to go into greater detail about his role in the historic accord. Bush declined, not wanting to to reconcile his foot with his own mouth.
